Three-Penny Paintings
On 7 July 2012, the Black Baroque Committee gathered a selection of works to be submitted in the annual UOB Painting of the Year competition. All the works contain the following quote from Bertolt Brecht's Three-Penny Play:
‘What is the robbing of a bank compared to the founding of a bank?’
All the works were rejected. The paintings will be collected en masse and transported to a location as yet undisclosed by the group to be exhibited under the title 'Three-Penny Paintings'. CEOs and Directors of all major banks shall be invited to attend the event. Their attendance or failure thereof shall be taken as an indicator of their complicit collaboration in the conspiracy.
